After Vermeer (2000)
This photograph is based on the composition of Vermeer's Girl Reading a letter at an Open Window, inspired by the quotation of this picture by Tom Hunter in his photograph Woman Reading an Eviction Letter. The figure is a composite from around seven different pictures. I later based a painting on the image.
